the famous composer.
The album will feature also the Antiche Danze ed Arie by Ottorino Respighi, the Intermezzi

I Musici are one of the most prominent Italian ensembles. They were formed in Rome in 1952.
The Chamber Orchestra is composed by six violins, two violas, two cellos, one double bass and one
harpsichord or piano. Their debut took place with a great success over half a century ago at the
Accademia di Santa Cecilia and was the beginning of an astonishing career which, in little time,
placed them among the protagonists of international concert performances.
Currently I Musici are regular guests at the most important International Festivals and have a very
intense concert activity.
They have recorded for many years in exclusive for Philips a real “goldmine” of works of 18th, 19th
and 20th century composers. They have received countless outstanding awards including:
Grand Prix de l'Accademie Charles Cros, Grand Prix International du Disc, Edison Award,
Deutsche Schallplattenpreis, Grand Prix des Discophiles
Their recording of the Vivaldi’s Four Seasons has gained the Platinum Disc with Diamond.
This new recording has been made by giulio cesare ricci with his complete “state of the art”
analogue and digital system, conceived and realised to enhance at its maximum the quality of the
legendary Neumann U47, U48 e M49 ( 1947/1948/1949) microphones, in order to offer to I Musici
a “real” natural sound.
